April 2013 – Development of the Strategic Outline Case (SOC)
  • *Press Release issued advising that SOC was approved.
  •  *Press Release issued – Deputy Premier Meets with Cruise Stakeholders for Port development talks
22 May 2013: – GENERAL ELECTIONS HELD:
PPM Manifesto 2013 – “The Progressives will move swiftly to get the cruise berthing built, thereby providing major economic activity, putting people back to work and boosting the tourist industry. We will not try to build another city offshore George Town to compete with existing merchants, but rather to provide berthing for the big cruise-ships, which currently pass us by. This is a critically important project and we will make it happen.”
October 2013 – Outline Business Case completed . Cabinet approved the Outline Business Case (OBC) which paved the way for the procurement process.

December 2013 – RFP issued for consultants to manage and prepare the environmental impact assessment.
  • *Public was advised during the November public meeting that the RFP for the EIA was about to be issued.
March 2014 – W.F Baird Coastal Engineers Ltd appointed to carry out the EIA
  • *Press Release Issued regarding Baird’s Appointment and listed the team of consultants providing coastal engineering, technical services etc.,

June 2015 – Environmental Impact Assessment completed
  • 9 June 2015 – PUBLIC MEETING AT MARY MILLER HALL TO DISCUSS THE EIA AND NONTECHNICAL SUMMARY.
  • July 2015 – Press Release Issued – Benthic Habitat Study Commissioned by Ministry (supplementary to EIA)
  • *July 2015 – MoT Issues a statement advising public that information gathering process continues.
September 2015 – PwC issues addendum to the OBC (Environmental Economic Appraisal)
  • *September 2105 – Press release issued following Benthic Habitat Report confirming that Coral could successfully be transferred to a new site.
October 27, 2015 – Cabinet gives approval for the Ministry to proceed to the next stage of the procurement process

24 May 2017 – GENERAL ELECTIONS HELD:
